Mirkka Lahdenperä
I’m an evolutionary biologist, working at the University of Turku, with special interest in social relationships and life-history evolution in humans and other long-lived species, such as elephants. I am also interested to find out how general wellbeing and health are associated with social interactions in these species. In NetResilience, my focus is on how kin networks have changed from historical times to modern times in Finland and how this is associated with survival, reproduction and health in humans.
