Mirkka Danielsbacka

I am associate professor of sociology at the University of Turku and senior researcher at the Population Research Institute (Väestöliitto). My research focus on family and intergenerational relations, grandparenting, wellbeing of older people and active ageing. I have also background as a historian studying the history of welfare state and the Second World War. In my work at the University of Turku I lead INVEST master’s degree programme.
